WHY MEASURE MY WAIST WHEN THE PANTS FIT ON MY HIP?
All patterns refer to a proportional waist and hip measurement. So no matter what style of waist (short fly, regular or high waist) the size is taken off waist measurement.
WHY ARE THE PANTS SO LONG?
We cut all our riding trousers long for a few reasons:
1) If you are extra tall we cannot ADD fabric for you, but for a shorter person a hem may be taken up.
2) Every person needs the minimum of an extra 10cms when mounted.
3) Being almost 100% cotton our pants may shrink UP (not in) and we allow for this too.
WHY DON'T YOU MAKE DIFFERENT LEG LENGTHS?
We solve that problem by making the trousers long.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SQUARE CUT AND A FITTED CUT?
A square cut is just that - cut on a square block with little or not no shaping. It is NOT designed hug the body. A square cut is designed to be loose and/or floppy with deep armholes and wide shoulders.
A fitted cut is designed to be that - FITTED.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A #264 AND A #274 - THEY LOOK THE SAME?
#264 - Short fly length - Approx 3cms shorter fly than the regular fly, straight leg, more fitted in the thigh and crotch.
#274 - Regular fly length - will come up to the waist on the average person, boot cut, more room in the crotch.
WHY DO THE COLOURS ON YOUR WEBSITE LOOK DIFFERENT TO THE GARMENT?
Every effort is made to ensure that our original photos are colour accurate, however every browser and monitor will display colours differently and we have no control over this.
